If the paint on my AW11 was as tidy as the interior I would say I'd come, but it's a bit on the tired side unfortunately. Sounds like a really fantastic event!

It's white. The paint is cracking in places, and there are some tiny bits of surface rust beginning to show on some of the edges of panels. The engine bay is also pretty dusty and rocker cover has seen better days. If you're in need of another AW11 I could probably make it look good enough, but certainly not up to show standard. See: http://mr2.org.nz/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=14560 (doesn't really show the age of the paint job in any of those photos, so I guess from a distance it's not too bad!).

Hey Mike, just letting you know that my MR-S has sold so won't be available for the show sorry. New owner in Palmy too so can't get them to enter either.
AW11 still all good though.

Cheers

Hey Mike, everything set for the show on Sunday, anything you need a hand with?

Are we meeting before the show or just heading in?

Hi Joel we have a crisis.None of the people who volunteered cars are still available .I have no mint SWS at all. I mean I have other stuff and gazebo and cards and some printed info but apart from your Aw11 we are looking slim.Levi was going to provide his SW but I havnt heard from him.

You had the only tidy spider in Auckland though I'm trying to get another one .

WE might just have a couple of Aws there but at least it's a representation of the club. I'll let you know tomorrow. I'm paying to get my Aw concourse ready too.

All good Mike, I have already arranged time off from the baby so I will be there regardless.
Shall we meet in the carpark beforehand. Need to have the cars in by 915am, so meet at 830am?

Hi Levi and Joel

Yes let's meet in the Carpark by. 8.30. I have tickets and passes. we are not being judged Levi but get the car as clean as possible .We don't have much time for detailing now though I will bring stuff to the show for last minute titivating up. I had mine groomed today

Do either of you have any ramps I wouldn't mind putting Levi car up on ramps and I have a large mirror to put underneath so people can look at it. Can you make up a card for your car just with year, model, and. Details like engine size model etc.

Other than that thanks guys .You have saved us at the last moment.

Mike , I have some ramps you can borrow if needed. They have some surface rust. But a can of paint will make them look lovely for the weekend.
Let me know if you need them.

Was a very wet show unfortunately. Definitely had an impact on spectator and car numbers.
Quite a few clubs didn't turn up on the day, but there were still a few dedicated people out.

Being one of only 3 Japanese car clubs invited I felt obliged to attend and I think our presence there was worth it.
It was good to get the recognition from a show that (some) would usually turn their nose up to anything Japanese.

We were given a spot furtherest away from the action, but I guess you can't expect a prime spot first time around.
Despite this and the weather, people still made the extra effort to walk over and look at our cars, so that was good.

Mike got some contact details of at least a couple of MR2 owners who didn't know about the club.

Hopefully next year the weather will be good and we can get more cars too.

Cheers to Mike, Levi and Levi's girlfriend (sorry, I didn't catch her name  ) for making it along.

My photo of our cars makes our display look pitiful - but it wasn't as bad as it looks!
