Because i cant get the video embed to work, here is the video of you all driving past. Sadly it didnt capture as much of the engine noise as i had liked and too much bike idle... :S

EDIT by Charlie - just put the ID of the video between the youtube-embed tags Nick.
Like this:
Thanks for coming - and thanks for the vid!

Thanks for another great run Charlie, and thanks Mike for the hospitality.
Got a little lost on the way back home, but ended up having a good run with a c5 corvette through Woodcocks
Cool little video too

AWesome run!
And good to meet new faces as well as see others again!
Unfortunately, this was not how I wanted to get home... But after the 1hr Cruze to Westgate from South Auckland it seemed my #2 alternator gave up. 1 week old (used though) So something weird is going on here?? More investigation required!!
Anyway, I dropped my car off at Charlie's house and rode with him for the day. First time I have been in an MR2 pushing the limits through the twisties, that I wasn't in control of!
It's a different experience!
I can now understand why I have friends that won't come in my car with me anymore!!
Also a MASSIVE thanks to Rodney to the trailer ride home tonight!!!
Anyway here are some pictures I took.
Can't wait for the next one guys!!!

'twas a good day out guys I enjoyed it very much - confirmed by the fact I had to have a nap as I got home, all that fast motion left-right-left-right got me tired ha ha
Special thanks to Mike for hospitality!

Who's that dick that ruined all the photos by not putting his lights down and parking the wrong way?
Thanks for the good run peeps, sorry for being slow; blame the passenger

Thanks for a great run guys. Its great to share one of my favourite places with friends.Great to meet new friends and catch up
with old. Good to catch up with Uj even if he was in a Suzuki "not so swift"
It wasn't only you Ivor that needed a wee nana nap .I guess us old blokes aren't as fit as we once were.
Cant wait for the next run.

Re: AKL run to Pakiri now Sun 26 Nov 2017
Thanks to Charlie for a good fun route up and to the most kind Mike for use of the BBQ.
No worries on the tow home Paul, it would have been way cheaper than a tow truck!
So after the fun of yesterday, got back home (for the second time!) to find neither the wife or myself bothered in cooking dinner, so I headed up the road to grab some takeaway's and noticed the lil Madaz2 was pulling to the left thought not much of it apart from maybe bent steering arm or tie rod end shat itself. Old ah! I'll look at it tomorrow appeared and a Bourbon magic'd itself into my hand. Night over!
Drove to work this morning via coasteville/riverhead highway, noticed the pull was intermittent, so it wasn't a bent steering arm or tie rod end, felt more like a balance issue. Felt the same on the way home too.
Pulled out the jack and the rattle gun( if you don't have one, get one! Soo much easier undoing wheel nuts and stiff bolts!) Popped the front tyres off and wow look at that. The left hand tyre is so badly deformed that there is only one spot on the tread where it is level. So about 280 degrees of deformation! On go the spare set or rims until I find some good tyres.

Re: AKL run to Pakiri now Sun 26 Nov 2017
Ha ha that's MadAz, Rodney. Still, good to know you take the blind corners a bit slower than the right handers.
And AWesome work getting Paul's AW back to his place mate. Outstanding.
As for me? Gutted. Sat down tonight to biff a wee vid together, only to discover I hadn't copied the clips off the GoPro last night, and I deleted them off it when heading home from work today. Sorry guys .
On a happier note -
Thanks for coming everyone. That was a great day out. Had a blast, enjoyed some really good bits of road and it was so damned good to see so many of you turn up. A lot of AW's too, really nice to see. They are becoming a lot more rare now, so it was great to see so many turn up for a blat.
I sure hope everyone had a good day and enjoyed the drive and the company? Sounds like it, so that's great cos that's what it's all about.
5 AW's
5 SW's
1 MRS
A Madaz standing in for an AW
With a Swift and a bike each standing in for an SW
So I am going to report a DRAW as the AW's managed to match the SW's for actual attendance on the run.
Pity Paul's had to take time out after legging it all the way to the meet, or the AW's would have won!
Next time perhaps?
And as always it's the good company that really makes the day. And this was no exception.
There on the day (in no particular order) were:
Me, in my AW - choosing to go without the wing so I'd take it a little more easy.
Paul, riding shotgun with me as his AW suffered an alternator issue
Mike (AW) who hosted us for lunch at his bolt-hole at Pakiri (thanks mate AWesome as always!)
Larry & lady (AW)
Michael & Dad (AW)
Kipp (SW)
Tony (SW)
Peter (SW)
Wardy (SW)
Cameron (AW)
Rodney (Madaz - ride shotgun with him and see for yourself)
Paul's mate who ended up doing exactly that and did find out for himself...
Nick (Mid engined Rear wheel drive 2 wheeler)
Ivor (MRS)
Uj and Claire (who might just have to trade the not-so-Swift in for a properly Swift Sports cos her driving is certainly up to it)
Antony (SW)
Pretty sure I got all that correct...?
OK a couple of little pics.
So gutted about that lost video footage. Dang!
Well, next run is a BIGGIE to Kawhia - the Waitomo O, in 2 weeks' time. Can't wait!

After that I think we'll do a run to Mt Maunganui to have a BBQ on the beach and watch the Thundercats in the surf.
Catchas!

Great to see you guys had a fun run - apologies Charlie for I couldn't make it, the majority of the household dragged me to a "more important event"
Since I've had to change manifolds / relocate inter-cooler / etc. etc. due to some enthusiastic driving @ Hampton Downs - i need to test the new setup so will definitely try and join the next run

Damn, looks like it was a good one - I was in the wrong country unfortunately.
