That was a great drive! Heaps of twisties to get stuck into. I feel like I'm getting better at handling them, and with the sway bar installed the car is probably handling them better too. But damn was I tired when I made it back home. Plus driver's arm is in full effect now; I probably shouldn't have worn a singlet!

Thanks, Paul, for organising that! Great to see everyone who came, and all those fantastic cars you have. Paul, your AW is quite the work of art!

That was a really good distance for a drive. Long enough to make me tired, but not so long that I was tired during the fast bits.

Here's one of the photos I got during the run:

Thanks Paul great roads great weather great company and a great pub lunch. What else could you ask for. Nice to meet 2 newbies Keiran D and Kay with the Sw20 and Sageran with his mint black Spyder.

It was also cool meeting Ivan , a club member who came all the way from Kaukapakapa to join us.You have done a lot of work on your Gen 2 ,man it goes well

Also good to catch up with Cai your Aw is handling so much better with the rear sway bar. Wardy was there with his car looking great as usual.

What with Ivor's white tail Spyder and Sagerans "Black widow" and 3 Turbo SWS and 2 Aws it was a great representation
even if I was in the only SW N/A.

Thanks again Paul

PS .I had a wee power nap as well. Must be catching

I'm still feeling fluey so likely to power nap most of today.

Sure missed a good one from the looks of it. Been looking forward to catching up with Ivan too (been a long time) but hopefully in the not too distant future. He's an ace on the BBQ too BTW.

Well done Paul, nice work. :D

I need to post up a run to the AGM, for Saturday 24th March. So don't organise anything for that weekend eh.

Catchas at the next one maybe. 8)

I don't know if it's been done but maybe awhitu lighthouse? It's been a few years since I've driven there so I have no idea what the roads are like now. I'd probably have to bring a jerry can because there's only one petrol station near the top iirc and it's a gas hungry trip.

You Could do Big Bay on the Awhitu peninsula. Roads are great now. GO through Waiuku and gas is there at the turnoff also at Matakawau on the peninsula there is Gas.

Peninsula is only 50 km long so even there and back is 100 km and 2 opportunities for gas . NO Jerry can needed

I would have gone through a full tank then too. In saying that I need to test drive and see if I've solved that issue.

First Zimmo, then Ross and now you? I'm never going to keep up with all these turbo v6s :P you'll need to start bringing two Jerry cans

Actually the little engine cars keep up quite well on the Twisties. It makes little difference really.
On a long straight away not so much though. But many of the runs I've been on those are few and far between.
