Right okay now im keen again, i really just want to come park up as a club and hang out at the event, The go Kart place should be a good meet up point. Maybe get a list of people coming and contact numbers so when we need to go in we can all go as a group and if people arent there they can be told we are insideJabeo wrote:Yeah bro, you can go as a general spectator for 20$ or you can bring your car into the club hardpark for 30$. The club area where we park will be determined when we arrive depending on how many cars/club members show up for the hardpark/track. which is why they want us to arrive as a group.MylerMr2 wrote:Hey Ross, just to confirm we can go for just a show and shine basically, show off the cars hang out and chat, How much was it for just a specator, im all for the track but i gather its going to be busy, ill just save my track time for the smaller track days. The old man will probably bring his SW out for show as well, is there going to be a group area for us all? Cheers

Parking out there is always free and you pay for general admission as you walk through the gates.Jabeo wrote:Yeah thats actually a good point, sorry i didnt think about that. We could meet in the big car park yes, if we are not expected to pay for our type of entry at the initial entry into the venue...mickeyduck wrote:Mercer? That means after ending the run at Island Block Rd you'd have to somehow cut right across the motorway to head north to Mercer - might be a bit dodgy. Why not meet in the big car park out front at Hampton's, there's likely to be tons of space out there cos most folks will be going in, not parking outside. Just my 10 cents.

So have we decided on a meeting location and time? Can some one stand up call it?
Then I can arrange an Auckland run to the rendezvous.
It is next weekend after all!

Re: Track Day-Hamptons/Waikato. 2nd June 2018
The brother in Law has kindly let me use his apartment for Saturday. So my wife will be coming and will be able to host other wives etc at the apartment. So its a good chance to bring the better half and they can stay in the comfort of the apartment, have a quiet wine and chat, chat , chat.
Not sure about pass outs from the track, it says track guys only can get a pass out. We may be able to sneak up to the apartment for lunch. Get a coffee etc. We dont have truckloads of people so should be all sweet.
PM me for details if youre wanting for the wives & kids, girlfriends to hang out there. No cost to them and they get an awesome view of the track. I reckon we will have to sneak up there during the day , for great views of the track and hot food and coffee.

Think Paul might have had one??? someone did at the CRC show..chief1eye wrote:Just thinking down at the hard park be good if someone has on of those pull out geezebo just in case it rains a little etc , we can get out of the weather?
ALL....Ive put up a timetable in page 1, post 2..
We're all kinda going to be arriving at different times. Eg. I only finish at 0200 that morning. I'll try and change that, but hey, we'll see. Depends how many idiots are out on Friday night....
I also have to try and muster my 6 year old which is like taming a tiger on redbull at the best of times.
Im hoping to be there by 0900.
Ive got phone numbers of each track entrant so far, but as for others...someone else might have to grab those at the initial meet up place. (nudge Paul, new AC)
Whoever gets there early will have to just get the lay of the land. Theres no way we're going to be able to plan it so that everyone arrives at the same time, same place, early, and all go in together. It just never works that way.
Whoever is in there early, just grab a hardpark area. Its not pre-designed like the "V" show. Use the banners to try and reserve enough for the estimated number of cars we have. If someones going earlier than me and wants my banner, come get it..
So far for racing, its 7 cars. No way of knowing at the moment for show/shine.

Re: Track Day-Hamptons/Waikato. 2nd June 2018
Hampton downs carpark 9:30 meet, drive in as a club 9:45
CAR MUST HAVE CLUB STICKER FOR HARDPARK
Okay so after a lot of discussion, umming and ahhing on this post (surprised it was so popular), looking at the event layout i have come to the conclusion that the big car park at the initial entrance off hampton downs road to the event is probably suffice as a meeting place as it quite huge and doubt it will be filled up at 10 am, as suggested by the all father
I understand that track drivers will probably head in earlier which is fine as they need to get in for their scrutineering as outlined by ross, who will have some drivers follow him up i assume. CJ has said that he will try be there by 9am and Paul has said that a good time to meet up would be around 9:30 - 10 by the time we roll through the gates.
All these factors taken into consideration im thinking that we all meet at around 9:30 in the hampton downs car park and roll in as a club by about 9:45/10. Track drivers that are already there can meet us when we drive in This gives the aucklanders time to do their run as they see fit, and time for us to find each other and organize ourselves. Any objections feel free to shoot it down, just want to make it work for everyone involved It wont go completely smoothly but we will figure it out, just bring your car and have some fun
COSTS (At the gate - CASH ONLY)
$30 - Club Car Hard Park entry (Car & Driver)
$20 - Spectators
$5 - For passengers Band
FREE - Kids 12 and under
FREE - General public parking
Any one from hamilton or nearby that is going up we can all meet somewhere and drive to hamptons as a convoy if you want, let me know

The event organisers also messaged me this "the payment for the hard park happens at the top entry, hard park cars all line up, pay and then head inside. cheers." As it looks on the event layout im assuming the hardpark club cars/track cars line up by the southernmost apartments and pay and drive in under the entrance for cars under the track, and we will be parking up in a huge open area surrounding the garages and the skid padmickeyduck wrote:Why not meet in the big car park out front at Hampton's, there's likely to be tons of space out there cos most folks will be going in, not parking outside. I have a gazebo if required. 3m x 3m I believe. But I don't have anything to secure it down with. So it won't really be any good in the wind. Let me know if I should bring it?
Also my wife has mentioned coming along a few times. (Whether she actually will or not...?) But if so she might like to join the other ladies and chat chat chat. She does like a good chat! And wine! Although it wont be a quiet wine, or just the one, can tell you that!
I'm just trying to figure out when we need to meet to make this run to Hamptons Charlie shared. Then will organise an Auckland meeting time to make it to meet the rest of you at 930

I just went off the initial one you had planned, so to not muck up your pre determined times you had organised, so hopefully that makes it easierMr-Paulio wrote:I have a gazebo if required. 3m x 3m I believe.
