It’s all on again at Highlands. Just wondering if others MR2’s will be attending. I was the only SW20 last time and unsure to what extent I’ll participate. Full track only available in afternoon for 2 sessions.

Re: Toyota Festival 2018- Highlands
No interest in event? Its rather expensive for what it is IMO. Would be more appealing if the whole track was available all day rather than just the afternoon session. Looks like the weather will be good for weekend after front moves through.
Was hoping to do a bit of tuning on the car during last weekend but didn't get very inspired. Washed it down and got all the bees sticky mess off car was about all I did. Need to plug the laptop in and get a couple of things dialled in or at least ready for some real time road tuning while on track. With the EMS I'm running can set for auto upload which enables the PC to adjust VE tables based on AFR selection while you drive.

Been waiting on weather report for tomorrow but it doesn't appear to be much interest in this event down South. I'm not sure to what extent I'll participate. Probably just show up after lunch to watch a few hard core GT track runs and take a leasurely trip around track with entire group for a photo shoot. Might even take wife out for dinner and do a little EMS tuning on way home. Certainly better use of the $200 it would cost for a couple of 15min track runs.

Re: Toyota Festival 2018- Highlands
It was a good day. Caught up with a couple of lads from AK along with some CCh boys and a couple from Dunners. More SW20s I’ve seen in a long time. Wish I knew the AK guys were coming as would have offered a place to stay or least put on a big barbe, southern style.
I didn’t participate in the track runs and glad I didn’t spend the coin to follow a safety car around. They really had much more control this year than previous ones. Sort of ruined it for any cars that wanted to drive at speed. $200 was just far too much for something like that.
