Akl - this is NOT a run. 20 May 2018

Post by mickeyduck »

OK so Keith, our new President, told me about a week ago that he was coming up to Auckland to collect some rims from one of our guys, and that he'd like to catch up. It was very late notice, too late to make it our monthly run as most would miss out. So I sent a PM to the entire Auckland crew saying this is not intended to be the monthly run, but if anyone wants to come for a wee blat and have lunch (a burger, or fish n chips) and meet our new President, meet at Westgate at 10am on the 20th May (today).

It seems that Keith and Ivor had previously agreed to meet at Ivor's "mid morning" but I have advised both of them we'll be meeting them at Westgate at 10 so hopefully they turn up.

Anyway, this is NOT a run in the usual sense (it was never intended to replace the usual monthly run at such short notice) but the weather has turned out AWesome so I'm out to the shed to dig up the AW.

If you feel like a short, cheap, fun little blat today, rock up.

The weather looks AWesome.

Slightly damp greasy roads this morning. A truck had lost it going down hill on a tight corner, and a car had lost it just after a long straight and ended up with its boot hugging a tree.

Like my signature says, always invest in good rubber (and obviously also, drive to the conditions and within the limits of your car and your skill).

But hey, we took it easy and still had a good drive. Thanks for coming guys. :D
