Would anyone have any pointers for finding club-sport type events in Auckland region - motorkhana, autocross, hill climb, bent sprint - but on TARMAC, not gravel or grass?
Anywhere between Hamilton and Whangarei would be ok.
I've trolled the net a few times and nearly all the events I could find were held either on gravel or grass.

I'll be running a couple of motorkhana's at Waikaraka park again in august and september.
Just going thru the leg work currently.
http://www.hcmc.org.nz
For Tarmac also try the MG car club.
Pukekohe over the summer run the twilight bent sprints at Puke track.
If you are a member of MSNZ currently, the Possum system is your go to for all events..
Any reason why you don't want to do grass events?

Thanks for the input guys
Just a matter of preference/attraction. Plus, I set the car up for road rather than gravel or grass.Speedhog wrote:Any reason why you don't want to do grass events?
Not a member as yet. Would like to go to a couple of events and hopefully get to talk to someone to get first-hand info about MSNZ licencing.Speedhog wrote:If you are a member of MSNZ currently, the Possum system is your go to for all events..

Fair call. Gravel events take a little more car prep than any other surface, but ultimately awesome when you get it right. (my personal favourite)psyguy wrote: Just a matter of preference/attraction. Plus, I set the car up for road rather than gravel or grass.
Grass events can be entered in normal road cars ( I have done a grass motorkhana in the Madaz2 before, have a chop before you write grass out.)
