Clubsport TARMAC events? Akl region

Post by psyguy »

Would anyone have any pointers for finding club-sport type events in Auckland region - motorkhana, autocross, hill climb, bent sprint - but on TARMAC, not gravel or grass?
Anywhere between Hamilton and Whangarei would be ok.

I've trolled the net a few times and nearly all the events I could find were held either on gravel or grass.

For Tarmac also try the MG car club.
Pukekohe over the summer run the twilight bent sprints at Puke track.

If you are a member of MSNZ currently, the Possum system is your go to for all events..

Any reason why you don't want to do grass events?

Just a matter of preference/attraction. Plus, I set the car up for road rather than gravel or grass.

Not a member as yet. Would like to go to a couple of events and hopefully get to talk to someone to get first-hand info about MSNZ licencing.

Fair call. Gravel events take a little more car prep than any other surface, but ultimately awesome when you get it right. (my personal favourite)
Grass events can be entered in normal road cars ( I have done a grass motorkhana in the Madaz2 before, have a chop before you write grass out.)
