MANAWATU JULY RUN.

15th July 2018 10:30 a.m.

The lower North Island run is a Manawatu affair in July. We have a treat for you.

Come and have a look at a collection of historic NZ racing cars. This months run is a visit to the

RUSH COLLECTION

near Feilding. Since we can't get into the collection before 1:30, we will meet in the car park in the Square in Palmerston North, for a 10:30 start. There will be a short run through some of our fantastic back roads and a lunch stop at a cafe to regroup before moving on to the Rush Collection.

There is a small entry charge for the collection but is it a paltry $10, a bargain I assure you.

I would be grateful of some indication of numbers, if only to pre-warn the cafe and the Rush Family. However, not confirming your attendance in advance does not prevent you from coming. I know that things can change at short notice. The more the merrier!

Sounds good and written on my wall calendar :D $10 is cheap to see the Rush collection from what i hear it is worth the visit, thanks for organising this.

Okay Guys,
Sue and I will be leaving Otaki at 09:15 am., heading to Palmy via Kimberley Road and Shannon, in order to make a start promptly at 10:30.
We will be at the Spa Pool place opposite the BP Otaki shortly before 9:15.
The route from Palmy will be via a roundabout route to Murray's Irish Pub in Fergusson St Feilding, for lunch. It is booked.
Note that parking will be a bit tight immediately outside the bar so I will apologise, in advance if there is any issues. I did not realise till yesterday just where the place was.
We should be there by about 11:30 to allow time for the meals etc to be delivered and eaten, yes even Colin's.
Joy and Terry Rush are expecting us about 1:30pm. Remember there is an entry fee for the Rush Collection ( $10 ).

I might actually be starting in Wellington, I have edited my post for times

We'll need to leave the Plimmerton weigh station earlier, 830am would be best. So meet there beforehand to make it to Otaki by 915am to meet up with Keith
