Wairarapa Run Sunday 30th Sept

Hi folks just back from overseas and organising a run, Sunday 30th is daylight savings changeover so it will be a meet in Featherston at the Petrol station at 10.30 am ish, introducing some new locations

, a run to Lake Wairarapa from the south end, then through Martinbrough, a different route to the Petrified Forrest

( a short walk on boards, easy and flat ) Buckhorn bar N grill in Carterton for a nice lunch at a great price

then a loop of the twisty road just out of Carterton by the hills ( the one we used when we went on the bush walk to the lookout) On the way to the Buckhorn we go past the mushroom factory if you want some local product to take home we can call in

I'll also throw in a visit to the Paua shell factory not far from the Buckhorn and all done so you will not be late home

but it will be a good and hopefully interesting run for you all

I have organised a fine day for Sunday, ( actually nearly all, of the Wairarapa runs have been good weather ) it will be a good drive. Twisties, straights and interesting places. Cheers Gary

Manawatu people: we are leaving Otaki Railway Station at 8:15 to meet up with Welly guys at Hutt Rd.
If you are coming let me know, and remember Daylight Saving starts tonight. Put clocks forward an hour or you WILL be late.
