Wellington Fun Run 24/02/19 - Go Karts and Run Run

Hey all, we will have our annual Go Karting Run on the 24th of February. We are booked in at Indoor Raceway at 11am on the 24th of Feb, so we'll meet there by then - 3 Raiha St, Elsdon, Porirua 5022

I will try and find our times from the last two years and see who's who, I believe me and Colin are tied for best times (me for last year, him for 2017) but I'll need to confirm this - It's either us or Keith haha! There will be a point for the best time, and perhaps another point for best wipeout or something like that... not that I want us to crash on purpose

We will also go for lunch afterwards, and then for a cruise.

I haven't actually decided on the length of the race, but would everyone prefer 20 or 30 minutes? 20 minutes is $30, 30 minutes is $40.

Also, if you guys have the entertainment books, there is a "buy 1 get 1 free" ride voucher. As long as half of us pay, the other half could get in free, we may just need to come to some sort of agreement for lunch

Ahhh I left the piece of paper at the mrs - I need to compile all the last 3 years and we'll keep a running total...

Well I was fastest (big surprise) with a 23.565 I think it was. Colin was next fastest, with a 23.8 or .9 Keith was 3rd with a 24.2 or .3. Then my girlfriend Bex was last with a 25.5 There were also 2 randoms who joined in with us, however they were very very slow, and kept spinning out. I'm proud to say I was the only one who didn't wipe out! I also got to top of "this months" leaderboard at the racetrack (fastest before me was a 23.6), Colin got 6.5th, and Keith was 11th. I'm not sure if the workers were happy to upset that me, Colin and Keith kept running our karts together. Very good racing, we got about 70 laps each in our half hour race. May need to go-pro it next time... but if you were there, you would have seen it all!

The weather has turned into the middle of July, very cold, very wet. So I expect that's why there was only us 4, which is fair enough, that weather was bad enough even if you prepared for it. Lunch was also excellent, was not expecting the cafe to be as packed as it was. No wonder they don't accept bookings.
