Ivor's turbo will have more usable power than the 2zz for the road. It can be hard to kept the 2zz in it's power band especially with my 5 speed gearbox

Well it's only a week away!
I did a bit of a test run today to finalise the circuit I had in mind. Unfortunately not in a MR2 cause the weather was poo! But still had a bit of fun in the Hilux since he just got some new knobbly tires

So here is a teaser of the run....
After leaving the meeting spot we will jump off the motorway at Ramarama and hit the roads I travel home through Ararimu towards Hunua. Where we will loop back around a circuit I use for test runs. Back to Ramarama and through the back roads to Drury. Onto the regular Ponga road twisties. At the bottom we just about go straight across Hunua road onto Jones Road towards Clevedon. Which was apparantly used in the Targa Rally. This is a narrow twisty and at times sketchy road, with great views! Just before we get to Clevedon we will bypass over the hill to Bombay and hit another twisty road through the Bush down to the Clevedon pub. For some R&R, Lunch, Refreshments and a good ol chat!
From here as we are already a bit further north, you can decide to carry on home. Or follow me (I have to get home anyway so may as well make it a bit of fun) through a few more twisties along Skyhigh road back to Hunua, back through Ararimu and to the motorway.

Well, I don't really know how to drive met service. But my weather app still doesn't look good. Especially not for these roads!

It just won't be worth the effort with this guaranteed rain I'm sorry!
