Thanks for an excellent run Paul. AWesome roads! And unless you have an even better / more apt route in mind, I'd like to suggest we call this run "The Hoonuas". Whatcha reckon?
My apologies for gapping it to get home and get some paint on the lad's SW, but I reckon that finishing this run with lunch in the pub at Clevedon as you did, means it has everything necessary to become an annual fixture. Much like the Kaiaua fish n chip run... Nice work mate!
Hoping to follow up with a little bit of video later but back out to that painting biz right now. Catchas!
P.S. next run is out west. Stay tooned.

Turned out to be a nice hot, clear and mint day! At the meeting spot we had 3 AW's 3 SW's and 2 Spyder's and an 86. Claudia was just popping in on her way to Puke so we were then down an SW and the AW's won the majority!
We found the roads shaded and slippery in places to start with. But the soon dried out. Slowed down just a few times by cyclists and slow cars. Including an EVO, which I was trying to play with. But he was more about making blowoff valve and exhaust popping noises than driving quickly through the twisty stuff. (Unless he just couldn't?)
After about 2 hours of mostly awesome roads we stopped at the Clevedon Pub for lunch and refreshments. A fantastic Wagu Brisket burger!
Then a few of us hit a some more twisty roads back to Hunua and the motorway.
