MR-S are very welcome> Unfortunately they cannot participate in track events unless fitted with rollover protection. They can do Gymkhana ,parade laps, show and shine.

The ruling has been made by the track so we have to abide by it

Targa tops on the other hand are okay. I believe the tops will need to stay installed for track time, unless they can be removed Mike?

For some reason I stopped getting forum notifications for this topic so missed the last few months of conversation

MR-S / 1zz does have a baffled oil sump, albeit of a simple design.
Mine has successfully survived multiple Hampton Downs track days :?
Overfilling the sump can be problematic though if you have a turbo as the drain line needs to go into the oil pan just below the baffle screen.
So, I am a bit anxious about it now that I've got the turbo (and haven't taken it to the track since).

I had the rollbar fabricated by NZ Shores fabrication in Auckland from the MSNZ/FIA approved cro-molley tubing. Happy to share the design with anyone interested in having one made - it wasn't an easy task getting it done well while retaining the soft-top functionality.
