Lower North Island ( Manawatu ) July Run. 28th July

Something a bit different !

Due to the short days and probable lack of fine weather, the format of the July run will be reversed, sort of.
Rather than starting at some random point and ending up at a cafe we will start at a cafe. The Cafe in question is Pipi Point at Waitarere Beach, just north of Levin.
The time is flexible since the cafe opens at mid day. the next couple of hours is for a bit of a natter and general socialising. Those who feel like a bit of a ramble after that can join Sue and I for a short tour of the back roads between Waitarere and Palmy. Thus we will end up somewhere random. See sort of a reversed format.
On the other hand there will be live music after 2:00 pm so if you feel like staying on that's fine too.
I would sort of like to establish this casual get-together as a monthly thing that just sort of happens, without any real input from A/C's. A chance to have a natter and admire cars or spin a bit of bull-S***. You know the sort of thing. Maybe a weeknight during the summer months who knows. I also would like to extend a welcome to other car clubs to join us and indulge.
See you all there Sunday 28th Jul[y, from 12:00 pm.

The "burger nights" idea you speak of is something I've been thinking about too - we definitely need to get together with Gary when he is back and look at what we can achieve between the 3 of us

I will definitely attempt to make it (as I normally do... you see where that gets me) - the reverse idea sounds like a neat idea!

I kind of live in Levin... so (actual) Wellington guys, if you meet at the SH1 Weigh Station at Plimmerton at 1030am-ish and leave at 1045am, you should make it in good time for Midday.

Yep I'm keen. Like the sound of the different run.
So long as it isn't a powder day at Ruapehu I'm in now the car is all sorted.

Sounds like a plan.
Shell say meet around 11:15 and aim to be heading off by 11:30.
Any others in the area are welcome to join in.
