I Believe spectators are free, and to bring your car in to park up with the other cars in the Show and Shine (inc goodie bag and Tee Shirt) and Track Cruise/parade laps, gymkhana. per car is $20.00. Doesnt matter if you think the car is scruffy or whatever, just bring it in anyway :D

Scruffy or "nice", don't worry what others think about your car, it's how much you love your own ride, and how much you enjoy driving it or parking it up to hang out with others. Bring them all down

Bummer. :( Initially it sounded like we'd be able to take passengers and that was going to be a bit of a highlight in my books. Ah well, might have to organise for Michelle to ride shotgun with a mate... Can't have her missing out on track time. She'd be bored out of her head otherwise...

Have booked the motel. Isaac and I will register for the track day tonight. 8)

Then all I need to do is figure out where to put the AW so I can rip the SW's suspension to bits and fit those new springs...

Any Aucklanders want to rock on down on the Friday, let me know (PM me) cos I have a wickedly twisted scenic route in mind for the trip down. With another for the way back too, but that'll be on the Sunday of course.

Looking forward to this! Good work guys! It'll be epic.

One thought: tag-a-2 cards with headline info and a link to register for the event, that we could put on MR2's we see while out and about...

Yes we had hoped for that too but when we investigated this thing was a bit like Chinese Baseball... The game was the same but the bases keep shifting.
With using a 3rd party to run the track time we are able to comply with the tracks restrictions and rules and unfortunately this one has a direct effect on the H&S plan.

Sorry about this but I a sure you will still have an epic time

On the sign up under other car says only register for show and shine if there’s room will open up for track and drags obviously we will have to pay more at later date or on the day
Yes Matt we will open up for other cars dependant on how we go. Don't forget you can also do the gymkhana in the $20 package. If we do open it up yes you will have to pay the extra but we will know re entries at least 2 weeks before so shouldn't
be an issue re payment.

Thanks for your understanding and hope this helps

Is there a preferred accommodation provider?
Or it's a find-your-own?

Dunno about that Ivor but we are staying at the South Street West Motel. Gets really good ratings, is pretty new (I hate run down dumps) and is right at the track entrance.

Still got some work to do on the 2 but I've just finished nutting out my routes for there and back. I'll post up a run thread for Auckland to Fielding and back soon. Intending to meet the Mooloo crew at BP Cambridge on the way down. Anyway we have 2 x 2's booked for the track so if you're into the trip down from Auckland (or anywhere in between) on the Friday, see the Events section soon. 8)

We couldn't strike a deal with any one accomodation provider so it is find your own.Traditionally Feilding is expensive to stay in and on our weekend a lot of Motels are booked out. South street west Motor Inn is very nice and I have used them before.

There are some great Air BNB options also available if you can't get a motel

Palmy, Levin, Marton, even Wanganui and heading into Welly are all good options if you need to keep prices down.
