ClanFever's Racing Streams

Hi all

I have recently been doing some E-Racing on Gran Turismo Sport for the Play Station 4. I am doing about 4 races per week, for the next 3 months. On top of that, there will be an additional 7 races in the same 3 months for the Supra Cup. These championships are run in partnership with the FIA, so it develops some really good hard clean racing. I am talking about other drivers who leave space or are able to rub without punting. If you can get into the right Sportsmanship bracket...

Anyway, I have been streaming these races, as I may as well share what I'm doing. I think during this lockdown period especially, a change in entertainment may be warranted. And to be honest, the point of this is to show you what it's about, so you join in the Championships too. You only need Gran Turismo Sport, a PS4 and an internet connection. Due to the way the points are calculated, you can join later in the championship and still have a fighting chance. PM for my PSN add, if you are geeky enough to know what that means.

So if anyone wants something different to watch, or wants to make me feel better by seeing my view count increase please look no further than to:

Like my Facebook page for updates and/or Subscribe to the Youtube Channel where I stream from

A random stream appears

Yes the game has the SW20 MR2, no unfortunately none of these races will warrant it. I could also do some MR2 races if enough people wanted it. I am in Toyota for the Manufacturers cup, and playing as a Kiwi for the Nations cup!

Well the first stream that I posted here decided that it wouldn't let me do the 840pm race tonight... we'll see if I can do the 10pm

By the way, if anyone wants me to use any of their liveries, or even wants to provide some .SVG picture files of whatever they want, your company, some cool artwork, even mr2ocnz ones if you want to make one, feel free as I can then use them on the cars in the game. Like a racing car, but with you guys as sponsors

Well the 10pm one dropped me at the race, instead of the qualifying. That's really painful. Managed to come out of qualifying in position 6. I feel like I really had pace against the other drivers. And then the server dropped me for the race. They have been having issues all night, so not overly surprising, but very disappointing. I guess the take away is real racing won't have that particular issue, and I feel like my pace is improving.

Can you imagine lag or a server time out in a real race?

Thanks for listening :D

Still doing this for the foreseeable future

The Fun Run series is also now virtual, for those with Gran Turismo Sport that want to join in on some fun, like the page for the events and add me on PSN ClanFever

https://www.facebook.com/clanfeversgarage

Will likely do an SW20 only race this Friday

There is now a spreadsheet for the Virtual Fun Run Series, if anyone wants to get involved. It is not, nor will it ever be too late. So for those with a PS4 and internet connection, what are you waiting for? Gran Turismo Sport is cheap if you don't have it, and it's actually a great game   - It does work fine with a controller, although a steering wheel does give you that much more immersion

My overall results for this season, excluding the Supra cup which still has one race left. I put my best foot forward for this season, however starting on a lower Driver Ranking and the Penalty Update really did prevent me from getting any better results. Still, I feel like these are adequate showings of the pace I had all season. Until the next one!

Still doing this Virtual Stuff! Might be taking up some of my spare time... it's good fun though. I have successfully run 4 of my own Leagues so far, I won one, and came 2nd in the other 3... just ignore the fact I host them (so I'm always present), and focus on the fact we have Matthew McEwen (the top Gran Turismo Sport driver in New Zealand) racing with us basically every time now.

Our new series "Teh" Brutal Series starts today, and goes for 2 months. We'll then have the FIA championship, a Charity Race at the end of that (in August) and then we'll start another Sponsored Series. It's almost going to be a rotating thing. Again, if you guys have a PS4, get Gran Turismo Sport and please join us

Attached photos from our Practice event on Tuesday. We are in the MR2 and McLaren F1 GTR Group 3 car for the first half of this season.

I will add, if anyone can provide me the MR2OCNZ logo as a smaller than 15KB .SVG file, I can add it to my race car. I've tried converting the pictures but it never works. I do run our Lower North MR2 crew sticker on the cars (was able to get this converted) and that group ultimately leads back here, but running the clubs logo would feel more satisfying

For those with a PS4 and Gran Turismo Sport, entry is now open for the 2021 FIA TOYOTA GAZOO Racing GT Cup via https://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/gtsport/form/tgr2021/
The 2021 FIA championships for Nations and Manufacturer has started too. We've only had 1 of the upcoming 67 races so it's definitely not too late!
Definitely one to get into. I will be entering, can't wait!
Pictures - Not an MR2, but I have selected Toyota for the Manufacturers championship, naturally. My workplace is sponsoring me again this year (www.thesupportdesk.co.nz)
