Lower North Island Xmas Barbecue.

Post by optional »

A change of venue this year.
This years Barbecue will be held at Koputaroa, just north of Levin, 13 December.
The venue is our new home and there is plenty of room for all. We need to justify buying the big barbecue for the anniversary so a big crowd would be great!
Don't worry about find the place as I will organise a short run that will end at our house.
More details later.
Keith

OK those who want an address or a location on a map I get your point.
The location on a map is a problem as I have a bit of a problem getting any map software to work the way I want it to. If you are coming from somewhere north of Levin, I suggest we change the meeting point to the Palmerston North Square at 10:15. Most should be able to find that. Those coming from south I will organise someone to meet you just over the railway line at the Kimberley turn-off, at 11:15.
If you get lost the address is 251 Wallace Road, Koputaroa, Levin. Wallace Road is off SH 57 on the right opposite the Ihakara Hall, just south Of Murrayfield Clydesdales. We are at the very end of the road.

Hi Keith,

Thanks for the invite but it's our 75th anniversary at the bowling club that weekend so I will not be able to attend.

Thanks
Ken

Ok,
in order to make this work more smoothly:
I ( or my deputy ) will meet anyone from Manawatu and Wairarapa at the the Palmy end of the Pahiatua Track. I will get someone else to organise a "collection" point at the Wellington end, possibly the Plimmerton Weigh Station.
I would suggest a meeting time around 10:30 at the Palmy end and maybe 10:30 also at Plimmerton.
I will lead cars, by a lesser known route, from Palmy and perhaps meet the Wellington people at Levin, to convoy up for the last section, so everyone can actually find the place.

Hi Keith, it would help if you actually post your address, we can goggle it, then if people get lost they will know where to go. :o
Cheers Gary :D

Hey Kieth
Thinking on making the drive down, could you please put up a map pic with an "X" marking the meeting point at the Palmy end of the Pahiatua Track? Thanks. :)
