This year Ellerslie car show has a new category for younger people and their cars called the 50-50-50.

Rules,
car must be under 50years old
Owner must be under 50years old
Car must cost less that $50,000.

This suits every mr2!!

Originality is not judged and neither is the underside of the vehicle.

Hi Guys here are the details of the Ellerslie Car show. The show is set up as a charity so all the proceeds are divided between the clubs who enter. This year the theme is Celebrating 50 however there are non judged displays as well . We want to enter the "Non Judged displays "and we have been allocated 6 Car spaces. This is an excellent chance to get new members ,talk cars and show of your 2

NZ’s premier classic car show since 1972

The second Sunday in February has become a highlight in every New Zealand car lovers’ calendar. Thousands of car enthusiasts visit Ellerslie Racecourse to enjoy this country’s biggest line up of classics – many of them regarded among the world’s best restorations.

The 2021 show is the 50th show so will be extra special.

The Intermarque Concours d'Elegance is central to the show, celebrating classic and marque cars with competitions of an international standard based on presentation, appearance, originality and excellence. The finest examples of cars compete for coveted awards.

Alongside the judging there will be Car Displays of varying makes and models, with special displays of unrestored cars, racing cars, hot rods and more.

You dont have to have a concours car In fact i would like to see as many different MR2s as possible .

I will have a Gazebo there and lets show people the best of what we have to offer. Maybe we will have a BBQ too

So if you want to be part of the show let me know if we can use your car for the weekend or whether you can come along and man the show for a couple of hours or the day

If you have a cool idea for our display let me know . Lets get as many of the club interested as possible This is a great opportunity and there are only 3 Japanese clubs invited to enter so its a big deal.

Jeremy i (Jezzeme) is coming up form the other island to enter the 50/50/50 competition so it will be cool to have him supporting us and us supporting him too

We have the Ellerslie car show this weekend . The club gets paid for entering. and this is the biggest Classic car show in NZ.

We are entered in the non judged club section and i still need a spyder or 2 and an AW for the day on Sunday. You will get a free ticket and a chance to see a great show. Your car doesn't have to be a garage queen or concourse just a good example of the make. This is a chance to get new members .talk MR2s and see some great cars.

heres a link https://www.concours.org.nz/beforeon-th ... -show.html

Just need you from 9.00 on Sunday to 4 o clock.

Please PM ,me urgently if you can help

Thanks to everyone who helped make it a sucess .To jared and Steph and Billy Lee . The show was huge this year with a lot more clubs coming and a better selection of cars.Brilliant day and with Stephs AW and Jareds SW turbo and Billy Lees SW20 N/A and Dorothy (My Spyder) we had all the models covered and there was a lot of interest. There was also a mint 87 AW S/C in red entered in the 50/50/50 class. This was for cars under 50 years old with under 50 k of spend on them and owners under 50 years old so no sign of cravats or flat caps this is the futiure of the event . So Glenn if your reading this we need you ,on a run some time

Thanks guys for a great day and repping the MR2 well

See ya on the flip side
