Wellington Fun Run - Sunday 28th November 2021

Post by ClanFever »

It's been a while since Wellington's had a proper run, so lets change that! My apologies for being a bit MIA (to the Lower North members, and the general forum) - mental health is not doing so well but I remember that doing these runs is something that helps. And not just for me, but everyone who attends. Lets keep these going at a minimum!

There are a few options open to us, I am thinking the classic around-the-bays has not been done in a while. Anyone have any preferences otherwise? Traffic is incredibly heavy in Wellington and so keeping a convoy together is near impossible, least we can do is signal where we'll be meeting up for some photos and some food at the end.

Eating in is currently a bit different to normal so depending on how people feel, 1841 in Johnsonville is always an easy option as plenty of parking and space for us, I would need to get definite numbers so I can get us an isolated table

I imagine a 11am meet perhaps at Port Road (where the drags start, on the corner, approx. number 85) - from there cruise into Wellington, jump off at Aotea Quay and hang left the whole way, including through Oriental Bay and Shelley Bay.

Park up for a photo near approx. 300 Great Habour Way (theres a decent pull in area thatll take many a car)

We'll then end going through Moa Point, all the way to Red Rocks. If there is enough room to fit cars in to park we can have another breather, otherwise we should shoot to 1841 for Lunch.

Boosted cars are like hot women.
A little edgy, every guy wants one,
some guys can't handle them,
and if you throw a little alcohol in them they'll rock your world.

I know that feeling

All cars welcome. I need to update my build thread, however MR2 still won't be coming. 2GR Vanguard will have to do

Hey, I hear you Olaf.
Count us in. Probably wont have the Supercharger as The motor needs to come out. Nothing major, just a whole lot of little things that are easier if the motor is out. We might have to "slum it".
