Well we were in it last year and this year I want to go big.I have booked a stand for 6 Cars .Yup 6 so need some really good examples. This is a fundraiser for the club as we get paid for having a stand and the money will go towards a major event being held later in the year.
Let me know if you want to enter your car. Im looking for Aws Sws and Spyders
So start dusting off your garage queens and buffing your dailies and finishing your projects . Come and represent and if you want your car entered in the 50/50/50 or unfinished projects .

This is NZ’s premier classic car show since 1972 30 000 people come through so its going to be bigger than BenHur.

The second Sunday in February has become a highlight in every New Zealand car lovers’ calendar. Thousands of car enthusiasts visit Ellerslie Racecourse to enjoy this country’s biggest line up of classics – many of them regarded among the world’s best restorations.

The Intermarque Concours d'Elegance is central to the show, celebrating classic and marque cars with competitions of an international standard based on presentation, appearance, originality, and excellence. The finest examples of cars compete for coveted awards.

Alongside the judging there will be Car Displays of varying makes and models, with special displays of unrestored cars, racing cars, hot rods and more.

The Theme for 2022 is World of Wheels, come travel around the World of Wheels.

**Unfinished Projects (Last year called Barn Finds) - This isn't just for those cars exactly as found in a barn but also those part restored. It is interesting to see the process the cars undergo to get to the Concours standard.

**The 50/50/50 for cars and owners under 50 years old and with less than 50k spent.

New to the 2022 will be a display of modified Cars. We are thinking of introducing this as a new judged competition so are testing the waters this year.

Hi GUys

Just received the following from Ellerslie Car show.

Dear Club Coordinator,

It is with regret that I announce that due to the recent Government decision to place NZ under a Red traffic light setting the Classic Cover Ellerslie Car Show will not be going ahead as planned on 13th February, 2022.

Instead it will be postponed with a new date to be decided and communicated by February 4th2022.

Regards,

Malcolm Thompson

Chairman, Organising Committee.
