Waikato Run 1st May 2005
Hi guys, how would you feel about a run on the 1st of May.
It has been pointed out to me that the second weekend is Mothers Day and the third weekend is Play Day @ Manfield.
Would you like a decent drive as a shake down and a chance to say Hi before Manfield?
Let me know your thoughts but the plan is to meet opposite Gallaghers at 9am for a 9:30 departure. We will be gone for at least 5 hours. Aiming to be back in town for 3:30pm.
We will then go for a decent drive out to the coast, you'll need fuel for least 400km round trip.
Yes there will be comfort stops, garages and loos.
Yes we will find somewhere to have a feed and wet the whistle.
Yes it's going to be fun. And this will be a dedicated driving run, through gorgeous countryside to a beach.

The proposed Waikato Run is now confirmed and will be going ahead. Yahoooooo
Meeting place: Opposite Gallaghers Building, Kahikatea Drive, Hamilton, on the grass by the garden centre.
Time of meeting 9am
Time of departure 9:30 am
Route will be to coastal towns via sealed roads. Spots we will be visiting
Raglan, for early coffee and brunch.
Kawhia to see the sea,
Te Waitere to see one of the most beautiful harbours in New Zealand via some very cool roads and just maybe, to call in on one of the most beautiful house locations you'll ever see.
Maracopa, to see the sea, have a break etc.
Waitomo, to fuel up with whatever we need.
Hamilton via Otorohonga, Mt Pirongia, via back road to Te Awamutu, Hamilton via South West back roads.
Plenty to see, plenty to enjoy, very very good driving roads, and damned good company.
A great shake down for the Manfield trip and a chance for a few excellent photo opportunities.
Can't wait!!!
Usual phone call will be made to local members.
If you want to join us and you're out of town or new - feel free to contact me at the numbers below.
Cheers for now

We've had another PHONE call from someone who would like to join in.
They are coming from up your way somewhere. This person knows the location well, however we're still going to provide the visitors with a wee map.
So, for everybody who'd like to tag along...... give me a yell so I can organise info, etc.
Cheers for now

What do you'll (Area Co-ordinators) think of other clubs joining us on runs??
A friend wondered if you would mind having members of the Skyline Down Under group joining us.
My only reservations are that on most of our runs we know 90% of the people who turn up........ so......Tell me "Oh Experienced Ones"
