New Facebook pages buy/sell and advice/social pages

We are pleased to announce 2 new pages. Firstly a buy and sell page followed by a social and advice page.

Any reason why these arent just one in the same? It seems like theres a lot of NZ groups now. not including the smaller localized groups, there is the MR2 Owners club of New Zealand Facebook page, MR2 Owners club Buy & Sell and MR2 Owners club Social and Advice, all of which fly under the same banner and its getting a little confusing for some. Either way its good to get the social media platforms going, its been pretty successful lately

Then obviously theres the other rouge buy and sell pages out there which i know you dont manage, but thats out of our control

Simon and I actually moderate the NZ/Aus Buy Sell page now as well - I admin the Lower North MR2 group, the Auckland MR2 group is admin'ed by a forum user, then there is MR2 New Zealand who are happy for us to post to, however they like to keep it separate from the club, for their own good reasons. I don't believe there are any other big NZ based MR2 Facebook pages.

The main MR2 Owners Club of New Zealand page is mostly for us ACs to post events and perhaps happenings in the club
The Buy/Sell page is that, for buying and selling of MR2s and parts
The Advice and Social page is for as the name describes as well, needing advice about what wheel to put on your ride, or to just chat about MR2 thingys. Similar to the forum, however it will help to draw more people in. The idea is to bring them over to the forum, as we can link them back to the bigger treasure trove that we have here

They all serve their separate purpose, having them altogether would become too messy, as the way things are posted to Facebook, that can happen very quickly. The posting methods are also a little different when it comes to buying/selling vs asking questions or posting photos etc.

It is a valid point Jaebo.

When discussing with several others the general consensus was to have 2 pages for the reasons olaf highlighted above.

The mr2ocnz page is setup like a bisuness (not for profit)

And dosenot invite others to post freely or buy/sell.

Both the other pages are linked directly back to the original page this would hopefully reduce any confusion.
