So it's been a busy time lately with the new baby boy in my life but I have had some time to get a few bits done on the mr2.
I have put some new rubber on the car, Bridgestone potenza re003 all round--215/40/17 up front and 235/45/17 out back.
I have given the calipers a new coat of red aswell as some mr2 decals.

Along with the tyres it has been treated to some eibach pro kit lowering springs and new discs up front with the zonelli 500 pads and TRD brake fluid

The interior has had a little update also with a new momo monte carlo 320mm steering wheel, new gear lever and handbrake boot and a fake TRD gearknob from ebay(I have purchased a reproduction gen 5 gearknob with red stitching from mr2 heaven to replace it on the way)

The stereo has been swapped out with a pioneer dvd player as well as new component speakers all round.

I also had some spare time one afternoon as well as some aluminium plate so I made up a engine cover strut which I am wishing I did earlier.

Engine wise the pod filter has been replaced with a k&n apollo enclosed pod which sucks from the side intake, I have also integrated the air flow sensor into the intake tube mounted underneath to make it less cluttered looking.

The water expansion tank is on the wrong side for the 1mz so I got an aluminium 800ml tank off ebay and have put a 1/8 npt elbow in the cap for the overflow tube which it didn't come with and it's now on the correct side of the car. The mount is not ideal so I will make a perminant bracket which is the next job on the list.

The ride height is not much different, maybe 5 mm rear and around 10mm front. Pretty hard to tell much difference in ride comfort just street driving but I'm sure the body roll on track should improve with the different spring rates. On paper small bump comfort should be better but harsher on large bumps due to the progressive rate like yours as you know. More driving will confirm but no regrets so far.

I installed a HU similar to yours and wish I had done this upgrade years ago. Car feels like its 10 years newer!

Thanks man, I've been trying to do subtle mods that don't detract from the stock design too much as I like the factory car as is already, apart from the engine... Not so subtle. But I like a clean interior especially. I'm torn between having gauges mounted and cannot decide, If I do I'll probably glove box mount them and incorporate warning led's into the hooded piece over the gauge cluster. But I can't decide haha

I did something similar with boost gauge within the clock position, temp gauges in glove box and then finially when an EMS was installed put all onto the 7” touchscreen.
