How to post pics - the easy way

Post by mickeyduck »

Go to make a post.

Drag-drop your pics onto the text edit area.

Biff 'em on a whole bunch at a time if you want.

Submit your post.

Ta-da!

No need to link them from the Gallery, or Facebook, or Photobucket etc.

In fact few things are worse than pics that are just linked to, and vanish later. Makes a thread totally meaningless. So just drag-drop them onto your post here. Easy peasy. 8)

And if you want to place them inline with your text (instead of turning up as a bunch at the end of your post) just click into the text area where you want the pic to be, then use the "Place inline" button for that file (look below the text edit area if you don't know what I mean).

Piece o' proverbial. Enjoy! :D

Oh - and you can click on a pic to enlarge it.

Use the browser's "Back" button to get back to the usual layout after looking at the zoomed in pic.

Try it now...!

Doesn't work if running XP (upgrading now to 8.1) or on my phone (5s).

Hmmm... Get a real browser...?

Try the latest Chrome.

Otherwise you might have to use the "Add files" button...

I don't have an iDevice to debug this, can anybody else comment on this?

Can we try downloading a Jpeg and uploading that? It may be the format the Iphones are saving the photos as

Can try but don’t think it’s the problem as cannot even open the ‘add file’ in attachment tab using phone. Have tried to cut and paste into thread without any luck there.

Same issue here it’s like my phone knows it’s a button but chooses to do nothing about it haha

The button opens file explorer on windows, and file browser via Android. It seems its not compatible with ios for some reason. I wonder if your browser needs permission turned on to access your files or camera etc and it's not on by default, and doesn't prompt

Usually if that is the case a pop up asked you would allow program access to camera or files. As above it acts like button isn’t reconised.

I've set up a test copy of the board at https://mr2.org.nz/forum2/phpbb3. Please see if that testing version works
