12 Hours of Virtual Le Mans for Charity + Future real world events?

Post by ClanFever »

Hey all

After successfully raising $710 last year for St John https://givealittle.co.nz/fundraiser/12 ... or-charity

We've decided to do it all again! This time we are splitting the proceedings 50/50 with Starship and I Am Hope

https://givealittle.co.nz/fundraiser/gtsoc-charity2021

And I have no idea how. We're already past $5K, it is awesome!

All the details within the Givealittle page, but the basic idea is we are running 12 hours non stop at Le Mans on the 2nd of October, 2021.

If anyone has GT Sport and wants to join in, please do! My PSN is the same as my Username here, ClanFever. If you can donate, do feel free too, although money is tight and there are many charities asking for your help, I know they can all kind of blend in together. You do what you can do.

This also raises another question. Should we start looking at generating some money for some chosen charities on our real world events? Does anyone have experience with doing so? I imagine it could be putting on a decent experience (Nationals comes to mind, but also just a worth while run or other event) and asking attendees for a small donation. Would anyone be counter to this? I am just thinking if each AC perhaps dedicated an event annually (we could also all run it in the same month) to grab this money from attendees (maybe this would work best for the annual Xmas run to maximise attendance?) Again I have no real experience with this and am just thinking about how we can give back to a world that seems to be forever changing and leaving some people behind

Thank you all for your time
